More frustrating because I am pretty sure the cause of my arm injury was some fierce hat knitting. This hat specifically:

I decided to race finishing the hat because I was being cocky. The results of my hubris are sweet hat and arm problems! Hopefully physical therapy will set me right again when I actually make the appointment.

Pupperoni (The San Fransisco Treat) is sad to be back in the city. Although he is glad to be back in the house with Cinnabun. I am just glad that his foray into the world of "snacks from the litter box" has been put on hold.

Concerts in Reverse Chronological Order

Krishna Das, tonight - I'll get back to you on this one.

Dar Williams, 9/12/08 - Graham bought us tickets weeks ago, our seats were somewhere in the middle. What they sent him were two tickets for the front row. The middle section of said front row towards the left. Shawn Mullins opened. Remember "Lullaby"? Yeah, that guy. It was kind of surreal to unexpectedly see this guy who had a number one hit on the pop charts opening for Dar. His voice is smooth and strong and he sang about Richard Brautigan, thus earning my affection. I spent most of the show thinking about how Dar Williams has influenced much of the last ten years of my life. Sometime I will write about that. She played a number of tracks off of her new album and some old favorites (Babysitter, As Cool, Christians & Pagans) and covered Stephen Trask's "Midnight Radio". She talked about living in Cambridge years ago. Maybe she was there when Jeff was. Jeff did Dar Williams steal your wallet in Central Square? It was a really good show.

Afterwards Graham and I stopped by a local bar for a drink or two, and ran into the visiting Microsoft guys and one of my coworkers. So we stayed until the awful cover band ended their last set and then walked to Domino's with them. But we didn't get pizza because it was eyeball roastingly bright in there. Instead we stood outside and talked about how tall smurfs are.

Jimmy Buffett, 9/4/08 - There is a venue near us that has had three names since I've known of it's existence, so I get confused about what it's called. Right now it's the Comcast Center, before that it was the Tweeter Center, and before that Great Woods, which was by far it's best name. Jimmy Buffett played there recently and in the way of nice things that happen at work he invited 10 of us to the show. We were also invited to the pre-show party, where I discovered that Margarittaville margarita's are tasty, stronger than you'd expect, and the only drinks to ever give me a hangover. We had 4th row seats for one of the most entertaining concerts I have ever attended. I think it was the way Jimmy presents himself. He is just so... nice and relaxed. He is also an extremely savy businessman. Pictures on my flickr.

PAX - The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, 8/30/08 - I so wanted to see all of the shows at PAX but the only one I actually made it to was The Thickets. This was fine because it was honestly the one I most wanted to see, having never seen them live before. They were awesome. I loved that they looked guys I would have hung out with at DJ's, dressed up like monsters, doing something that they enjoyed. On Sunday they came by the booth to play "Shhh...." At the end Mario threw a tentacle to the excited crowd. All of the guys were incredibly nice and I hope to see them again.

The Electric Six, Tragedy opens, 8/16/08 - In celebration of Graham's birthday a bunch of us headed to Northampton for E6. Tragedy, one of the top three heavy metal Bee Gees cover bands in New England, opened and were so entertaining I got up off of my ironic bar stool and danced. Of course staying up to dance myself into a frenzy for E6. I jumped up and down so much that my legs hurt a bit the next day. After the show most of went back to Graham's hotel and broke into the outdoor swimming pool to reenact summers past.

Ooooh Original IP

Ideas for Products

Bumper Sticker Holder
This magnetic wonder holds your bumper stickers tightly and securely, while allowing for easy removal when you change your political or sexual orientation.

Companion Indoor Exerciser
Like to ride a bike and like to walk your dog, but don't like to leave your house? This is the machine for you! It's a an exercise bike with a dog-sized treadmill attached for Fido. The treadmill is powered by the bike so Fido matches your pace. The exercycle/treadmill too, I just need a blowtorch. All ideas TM me.

Rock Band Released!

Rock Band has been released, which means I can finally post some examples of my work on the game! I really enjoyed working on it, especially clothing descriptions.
